Teaching Strategies GOLD provides a wealth of information for home visitors and teachers. The assessment is mostly conducted through observations. Results from this tool allows us to determine how each child is developing for his or her’s age group.

Information is provided on these areas:

• Social-Emotional
• Physical – Gross Motor
• Physical – Fine Motor
• Language
• Cognitive
• Literacy
• Mathematics

These results are shared with individual families, so parents can have the power and knowledge of being involved in their child’s education. When there is a concern about a child’s development, early intervention providers conduct an evaluation.

Periodic reports will be made available throughout the year.
